As far back as I can remember, there was a computer in my house. I was born in 1980, so my earliest memories were of the first personal computers that were coming out on the maket. My dad had the old, granted not old in 1984, Tandy computers. Tandy I thought was the coolest thing since sliced bread. I remember playing the old centipede game on a solid black screen with little dots as the mushrooms and a moving series of dots as the centipede and a little moving gun to shoot this little worm with. In addition to centipede. This Tandy computer had the old flexible floppies that were like five inches in diameter. BIG difference to the floppies we have today. Not to mention Floppies ARE so 20th century. ;)
Tandy was not the only technology I had in my house. My brother and I had the old Atarie console with the joystick controls. We played games like pac-man, breakout, night driver, and pitfall. To this day, I have a case full of old atarie games, and the old game set.
I could go on with the early technology I had in my house. There was always some sort of technology in my house as a child and has grown to probably excessive since I have gotten older. I can honestly say I was never fearful of technology. I really do not know
Does anyone else out there remeber these technologies growing up?
